 Methods: Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
Method Name : Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
Definition : QFD as per Wikipidea>>
More information : 1) QFDInstitute web site
Description :

The QFD process consists of the Voice of the Customers or Customer Attributes, which are driven by the customer/user goals, the Voice of the Engineer or the Design Parameters, which are the technical measures needed to build the user requirements, the Relationship Matrix, which describes the relationship between the customer requirements and the design parameters, and the Roof of the House of Quality (HOQ), which is the correlation between the design parameters.

This is basically to convert the user requirements into some specifications at various levels. This mechanism is very widely used in engineering industry especially in automotive designs. But this can be adopted in industrial design, User Experience etc. QFD this gives a framework to specify the product’s attributes & levels of QFD matrix gives us a complete roadmap of product development.
