Description :

Edward Debono, is a famous author of many books on creative thinking. This perticulat method is an extremely effective tool for forced lateral thinking. Human mind most of the times had a limitation of not being able to compartmentalize and channelize the thinking process. Use of tools like 6 thinking hats is very effective because of the structured way of channelizing the thought process.

Dbono perceives 6 conceptual hats to be worn while thinking for creative problem solving. Each hat represents a perticular mindset.

 

The 6 thinking hats are:

 

  • The White Hat = Facts & Figures
  • The Red Hat = Emotions & Attitudes
  • The Black Hat = Fear & Limited
  • The Yellow Hat = No Fear & Unlimited
  • The Blue Hat =Understand & Management* *(Organize, Lead, Support & Control)
  • The Green Hat = Unlimited & Looks from different angle
